Another Terrible Item – Gasoline Lawn Edger Review

My Husband has been looking to buy this, but kept putting it off. He is very happy with it and neighbors even say they see him in the yard “playing”. No papers, warranty, or directions in the box. Edger performed well, but do not believe it is “NEW.” Each time it performed really well. I did a test run of taking off the blade and replacing it as if it was this replacement blade that I ordered (but don’t yet need to install as the original is still plenty sharp). Its light weight, easy rolling wheels and great cutting power more than compensate for the 100-ft extension cord it’s tethered to. I think it took me as long to rewind the cord as it took to edge the grass (total edging is about 200-225 linear feet). This has so many features over a gas edger that it makes dealing with the cord worthwhile for any lot that is one acre or less. It easily cuts a clean line with little effort and is easy to manage.

It took one time to get the hang of it. A gas one would be more convenient, but for price I am ok with it. My only concern is how well it will hold up over time. I had another Black and Decker product (a hedge cutter) and it was flimsy.

Myself, I used a $5 sweeper nozzle, which was highly effective. The whole yard has a much better look.

It is lightweight and easy to use. I am no lawn care expert, but I think this is a great fit for someone with a small area to edge.

It is easy to use and works very well. I use it on a small lawn but due to the electric cord attached to it I don’t think it would be appropriate for a large lawn. It should really be larger. Once assembled, I was worried I would ruin my lawn as one commenter had lamented. It wasn’t very loud either. I will have to purchase a longer extension cord since I had to use two of them to reach all the areas we needed to edge.

This edger gives a distinctive defined edge. When I first used it, I was totally impressed with the edge. Get this one it a great product! I live on a corner and have a lot of property to edge.

If I hadn’t bought this product, I’d still have this project to look forward to next weekend. The Edge Hog works great.

Or I could mail it to the service center at my expense. Cheap Landscaping.
