Give It Time – Toro Lawn Edger Review

No papers, warranty, or directions in the box. Edger performed well, but do not believe it is “NEW.” The overgrowth was so heavy it was difficult to actually find the edge of the pavement, so I had a tendency to grind the blade against the pavement (a good way to wear down your blade). Assembly was easy. I smelled more burning plastic then cut grass when using this unit. The motor lasted long enough to show some spectacular sparks.

When I tried to use it to do the heavily overgrown front sidewalk, I found I had a lot of trouble. It was powerful, and did cut, but was awkward and hard to push through the heavy growth. This is an edger that will work great for maybe a season. Pay extra and buy a better edger from any other company. It is easy to use and did a fantastic job with little effort on my part. My significant other uses this Black and Decker Electric Lawn Edge Hog and he is extremely happy with it!

I had expected the edger to cut the grass cleanly. If you don’t want to deal with gas-powered edger, this is THE ONE.

All-in-all a good tool. Exceeded my expectations.

However, it worked easy enough. Due to the length of the lawn hanging over the sidewalk, in most places, it required running the EdgeHog over each section at least twice.

Just be careful with it, take your time. Your yard will look great. I had to go over the same spot a couple of times so it could cut the sheer amount of grass that was over the edge of the driveway. Once I got that part out of the way I feel it will be very easy to use since the grass will never be overgrown like that ever again.

First time using it was awkward, but once I got the hang of it it worked great. Have only used it twice, but 2nd time was a breeze.

Glad I did. This Edge Hog is easy to set up, adjust, and use. Just press the trigger and go. Love it, love it, love it. This edger only cuts about 60% of the grass and the rest it pushes away! It makes the job harder to because it barely has enough power making you the operator put forth more work to get it through the grass.

However, my husband insists on a gas edger at 4 times the price, so I gave it to a friend as a gift. replace auto glass.
